Historic Overview
Yerevan Regioal State College N2 named after N. Atchemyan was founded in 1935 as Soviet Technical school of Commerce and Economics. In 1959 by the Ministers’ Council resolution N 355 it was united and renamed Financial-Economical technical school. By the Ministry order N150 of 1967 July 1 it was separated and became Yerevan Technical School of Soviet Trade. By the RA People’s Ministry 1990 September 1 decision N 19/95 it was renamed into Yerevan Commercial and Economics technical School. In 1999 by Yerevan City Mayor April 23 decision N 517 it was renamed State College of Trade and Service named after N. Atchemyan. In 2012 by the February 28 decision N 143 A/K of RA Minister of Education and Science it was renamed into Yerevan Regional State College N2 Non-commercial state organization. In 1985 the technical school took the first place among 4600 technical schools of the Soviet Union, in 1983 it took the second place Yerevan Regional State College N2 consists of 2 buildings: administrative and educational.
College Misson
The mission of Yerevan Regional State college is to prepare participants of small and medium-sized businesses in accordance with the basic vocational educational programs and the requirements of the economy and labor market, to provide training of the service sector workers and individuals through additional educational programs and short-term courses , to ensure the relevance of educational programs to the labor market, the developing service sector and changing requirements, to develop regional and international cooperation.

Services Provided by the College
The main subject of the college activity is the implementation of the vocational education programs, which are organized on the basis of basic and secondary education. Therefore vocational education is implemented through the teaching of the state component of the subjects of the third level of secondary education (grades 10-12) and the study of the module program of the relevant profession. Among the above mentioned new professions were introduced with vocational educational programs of “Cooling/Refrigeration Economy” in 2019 “Cosmetology and Make-up Art” in 2021, and with primary professional education “Renewable Energy, Energy Installation, Repair and Maintenance of Stations” in 2021 and “Culinary” in 2023.
In the college, education in all specialities is organized on the basis of basic and secondary education, for which educational practices are provided and mutually beneficial cooperation with social partners has been activated due to the mentioned factor. It gives an opportunity to solve the task of graduates’ employment.
College organizes additional extension professional education, and training course, staff training, re-qualification and upskilling.
